Heated bathroom floors? replied by siukin @ Tue, 27 May 2008 20:22:38 -0000

I also have been reading about that and I was quite interested. You can look at some information in any of these websites: Electric Underfloor Heating or here Bathrooms

Regards.

Steam Showers replied by ebeing @ Thu, 15 May 2008 14:53:50 -0000

I found this awesome Steam Shower but I want to know what others think of it.

this website has several models in the steam shower category and they also sell matching vanity sinks, bathroom cabinets, and toilets

Tiled bathtub replied by OBERT1 @ Sat, 22 Mar 2008 01:17:49 -0000

How hard is it to keep clean, especially the grout? I have two teenagers, so it is doubtful I can make them wipe down the tub after each use.

Contractor problem replied by julie @ Sun, 24 Feb 2008 20:05:49 -0000

One key guideline is to limit your initial down payment, and try to pay most of the money once the contractor has done at least half of the job, or even when the job is completed.

You can also mention that the payment is reduced if the job is not completed within a certain timeframe (i’m not sure whether this is common practise with small residential jobs, but can be negotiated).

I’m not sure what the exact number were, but I heard several stories of homeowners paying 20-40% down, and then not getting much response from the contractor. Once they have their money, the worst contractors out there suddenly become a lot less responsive.

Contractor problem replied by EMA @ Sun, 24 Feb 2008 16:08:52 -0000

Hired contractor on Feb 14 and demolishing begain on Tuesday following, wallpaper removed on Wed and prime on Thursday. No work on friday they said because of rain(don’t know what rain has to do with remodeling 2 inside bathrooms). Asked sales person for itemized list of products bought since we were given allowances and he has not sent. Asked for 3-wk project plan. Still have not got. I could go on and on and on on what has happended over the past week. But question is: what is the re-course or where can a homeowner go to get assistence with working with a contractor?

I’m looking for a design software that’s easy to use. Free is good too ;)

I simply want to draw my floor plan and add fixtures and cabinets.

Any recommendation would be welcomed,

Thank you
